This app can be used while Running or walking indoors our outdoors. What sets this apart is that you can use it with its GPS capabilities when you are running outside and it will track the path you ran. Also, it does not require any sensor for your shoes. Just load and run! Try using it with the Cardio Workouts to see how much you ran, the amount of steps you took and even how many calories you burned!
MyFitnessPal (Free)
MyFitnessPal helps track the calories you intake and burn by helping track what you eat on a daily basis. It boasts one of the largest databases of food in the app store, and is a breeze to use. After every meal/workout you load up the app and enter the food or activity you did. It will then calculate how much calories you burned or gained for that meal/workout and either adds or deducts it to the daily goal you set when you setup the app. For free this app can’t be beat!
Restaurant Nutrition (Free)
Eat out a lot? It is actually harder to eat healthy than unhealthy when eating at restaurants. This app solves that by giving you nutritional facts about most popular restaurants around the country. Don’t know how much calories are in a double cheeseburger from McDonald’s? Load up the app and see how much of a dent it will put in your daily calorie goal from MyFitnessPal. It can also show you where the nearest restaurant is with healthy items on its menu.
Eat This Not That! (7.99)
Straight from the popular series of books come the Eat This Not That Iphone app. Now take the book along with you when you are trying to decide what to eat. These books are best sellers for a reason. Don’t underestimate how important it is to pick the right meal with eating out. It may mean the different between having to do the 15 minute cardio workout or the 1 hour cardio workout. You decide.
