Those who are somewhat new to working out and want to get some exercise to look and/or feel better during pregnancy will definitely benefit from this workout, which is easy to follow and do. You’ll feel refreshed and stretched after doing it. Exercise is the best cure for aching bones and muscles during pregnancy! And as Denise will remind you at least 30 times, “You’re doing something good for yourself AND your baby.”

If you’ve been more active throughout your pregnancy, though, you should be warned that this workout is basically the equivalent of the warm-up you would do before a non-pregnancy workout. You do a lot of the step-touch type moves that you would get in a typical aerobics warm-up. Of course, there’s only so much you can safely do when you’re pregnant, so a lot of the moves are repetitive and can get boring. But in the end, the idea is to get your body moving, and it does accomplish that.

I didn’t get this DVD until my 3rd trimester, and I enjoyed it. I felt like I got a good, basic, safe workout. But I don’t think the cardio section would would have been enough of a challenge during my 1st and 2nd trimesters.

Hello…I was in great shape prior to becoming pregnant- avid runner and lots of weights. So, I really wanted to stay in shape!
I am really disappointed with this video. I am familiar with Denise Austin as she has been around for along time. BUT, she was so annoying in this video. Overly perky. Additionally, the cardio part barely reaches 20 minutes. It is very monotonous. I ended up turing on my own music to drown hers out. Lastly, the toning section. I think that the moves themselves are very good. Certainly a good way to learn pregnancy modifications. However, each excercise she does is so short! I would just be getting into it and then she would move on to the next one. So now I must pause the video to get an appropriate amount of reps in. I truly think this is a good video for a fitness beginner, who hasn’t been excercising prior to pregnancy. For those of you who are in decent to good shape, I do think you will be disappointed. You can make it work certainly, but I am also looking for a better tape. OH! Plus you will need a chair, towel, 2 pillows, and light weights prior to beginning which I never saw stated anywhere until I actually started the DVD and was half way into it. I could have missed it, but just take note and good luck. :)

I’m a Registered Nurse who is pregnant with her first baby. This DVD delivers a low-impact cardio and toning workout that prepares your body for childbirth, keeps you in relatively good shape, and helps you “bounce-back” after you deliver. Although I can’t quite promise the bouncing-back part as of yet, after having used this DVD a few times, I can already sense a difference with my posture, with my muscle tone, and also with aches and pains (much less in my back!). Plus, the workouts are divided so that you can either focus on toning, cardio, or Kegal exercises if you do not want to do the entire workout. You may spend as little as 20 minutes to as much as 45 minutes for an invigorating workout. Denise Austin’s optimism and perkiness only added to my motivation to use this DVD most days of the week.
