30 Minute Upper Body

Workout Summary:

Here is the extended version of the upper body workout routine.  It adds a few new exercises, plus a longer run at the beginning.  Remember to focus on your posture and breathe.   Also, the downward dog at the end of the routine can be substituted for another set of cardio, especially the rhythmic boxing since you will be using the muscles that you just worked out.

Workout Routine:

Free Run

  • 10 Wii Fit Credits
  • Try and keep a steady pace and breathe.

Plank

  • 2 Wii Fit Credits

Sun Salutation

  • 2 Wii Fit Credits

Arm & Leg Lift

  • 3 Wii Fit Credits
  • Balance is essential for the maximum benefit.

Triceps Extension

  • 3 Wii Fit Credits
  • For added resistance, use a can of food or anything that you can hold in your hand while lifting.

Sideways Leg Lift

  • 2 Wii Fit Credits

Pushup & Plank

  • 3 Wii Fit Credits
  • Use your knees if you need to. After a few weeks, you won’t need them at all!

Single Arm Stand

  • 2 Wii Fit Credits

Downward Dog

  • 2 Wii Fit Credits
  • Can be substituted with a round of Rhythmic Boxing for a great cardio addition.
